Artist's Comments

She broods alone in the corner of a french cafe, nursing her wounds (emotional and physical) with a cigarette and a glass of absinthe. ...Oh can we possibly get any more dramatic? No, but seriously, this is a combination of a Degas painting and my own concept, using one of my favorite models. It's slightly sinister, atmospheric and leaves a lot of room for interpretation as to what exactly is going on.

Sadie by ~Lenea is a lovely render of a classic concept, with a modern twist. Lenea manages to cast a personal and endearing glance into the life of Sadie. (Suggested by ~modest-rye and Featured by `De-Profundis)

This takes the famous Degas painting and makes the darkness more explicit. Great job on the reflection. A strong painting and DD.
